  3. Vance was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed. He and Sherri raised beautiful children and contributed so much to the community. Their presence was such a wonderful gift and treasure to their friends and loved ones. True “Salt of the earth Americans”. Much love to family and loved ones. Connie and Bob W.

  4. Our sympathy to the Jefferies Family on the loss of Vance. My husband Maurice worked with him at Farm Supply in Taylorville and Morrisonville, IL for several years. We always looked forward to seeing Vance when we stopped at the Orchard after retirement. May you find comfort in your golden memories. He was a great person and touched many lives. 5. I lived across the street from Vance & Sherri when they moved to Timbercreek, just a few years ago. Vance was always so friendly waving every time we saw each other outside, sometimes stopping to talk for a while. I remember on nice weather days he would put out his flags every morning and take them in at night. It was a pleasure to know Vance even if only for a short time. Thoughts & prayers to his family.

  6. I got to talk to Vance a couple of month’s ago I haven’t seen him in a long while.I worked with him when we were a FS in taylorville and I new him and Sherri for a long time. We talked about the trips we took together canoeing in the boundary waters of Minnesota and of the good times with the other guys camping out and fishing for small mouth bass and walleyes. Vance was a good friend I know he’s with Sherri and they will be missed.

  7. was so sorry to hear of vance’s passing. i grew up at jefferies orchard in the 1950’s and only remember vance, rachal, and sheri, who was very little at the time. my memories of the jefferies family are wonderful as we camped, fished, and harvested their crops with them. it was a wonderful place to go to see how crops were grown and harvested and the jefferies family always made you feel like “family”.my heart is very heavy as i send condolences and will plan to see members of the family soon.

  8. May God’s Blessings shower over Andrea and Jeff and the entire Jefferies family. I have fond memories going to Jefferies Orchard as child and visiting my cousins! In later years, Vance and Sheri would always mail my family Taylorville Chili and Kidney bean soup-favorites. Rest in Peace Vance.
