Vivian Rankin

Vivian Rankin, age 94, passed away on Sunday August 30, 2026, at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois.

She was born May 18, 1932 in Stronghurst, IL the daughter of Perry and Nellie Mourning - Stamp.

Vivian married Lawrence Rankin on December 27, 1953 in Stronghurst, IL. He preceded her in death in 2005.

Mourning her passing are son, Tim of Geneva; daughter, Pam (Dave) Beckner of Cantrall; grandchildren, Jess Beckner of Cantrall, Caiti Beckner (Andrew Oldfield) of Petersburg and Kelsey Rankin of St. Charles and two great=grandchildren, Landon and Sterling Oldfield as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, siblings; Lyle Stamp, Jim Stamp, Ron Stamp, Madeline Dowell, Lola Dalton and Eileen Hughes.

Vivian graduated from Stronghurst High School in 1950.

She was a bookkeeper for Diet Workshop and a homemaker.

Vivian was a member of the Athens Christian Church. She loved to travel and loved hummingbirds. Above all, her family was most important to her.

Visitation for Vivian will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026 from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Mott and Henning Funeral Home.

Burial will be held at Joel Hall Cemetery.
